For the past several months I have been a busy lady planning and organizing a fabulous event called Niagara Kidsapalooza: A Children’s Concert & Awareness Event. I, as well as a friend of mine, Cathy Fletcher from Happy Little Hands Baby Sign Language, have volunteered our time and talents to put together this one of a kind event. (and with assitance from several volunteers, thank you!)
The event will help raise awareness in our community in regards to what is available to encourage and guide our children into a more healthy way of living. All proceeds will be donated to Pathstone Mental Health children’s groups. Pathstone is the primary provider of mental health services in the region. Last year more than 4300 children, youth, and their families were provided help from more than 19 different programs and services. We know that one out of every five children will experience a mental health problem. Most of the children we help are experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, or conduct disorder. If left untreated, there is a good chance they will carry this with them into their adult lives.
Pathstone has four groups available to anyone desiring the service in the community. The funds raised from the event will be allocated to assist those parties who are struggling financially and would like assistance paying for the group programming.
To register or for more information Call 905-688-6850, ext. 163. Please leave your name and a telephone number where you can be reached.
